John A. Marabello, 95, of Naples, Florida. formerly of Concord, MA passed away peacefully from natural causes on July 1, 2021 at his home in Florida. His beloved wife, Marion, and his son, John, were with him. John was born in Concord, MA, the third of three children of the late Lena and John Marabello. John attended Concord Public Schools. He was a 4-H member who was awarded a Future Farmer of America. He loved animals, often bringing home stray animals to his mother’s dismay. He loved the outdoors, was a Boy Scout and explored all aspects of Concord. As an Eagle Scout he attended the New York World’s Fair in 1939. He was a Concord tour guide to historic sites and received fifty cents per person per visit. As a teenager, he had the opportunity to spend a summer in Vermont, which began his lifelong love of visiting Green Mountain State. He enlisted and served in the US Navy during World War II. He was in active service on the destroyers USS Livermore and USS Herbert C. Jones in Algeria, Oran, Africa, Italy and Asia. These destroyers escorted troops, aircraft carriers and convoys to protect our troops and ships from enemy fire. The destroyers were under heavy fire from German planes, ships and submarines. During one of these conflicts, John was seriously injured. In 1945, he received an honorable medical discharge from the US Navy for sustaining serious injuries; his rank was a petty officer. Mortgage is the process of agreeing to use an asset as collateral in exchange for a loan.

For example, you might want to make payments for your home and car before credit card payments so you don’t lose those assets.

Even though failure to make credit card payments could hurt your credit rating and possible loan opportunities in the future, there is no mortgage agreement to put anything as collateral in these contracts.

What is the re-mortgage?

The re-mortgage is when a lender uses your collateral as their own collateral. If your lender has to honor certain contractual agreements, they can use your property to do so.

While possible, this practice is not as common as it was before the 2008 economic downturn. As collateral continues to be remortgage, it becomes less clear who actually owns the asset.

You can avoid the remortgage by investing by opening traditional brokerage cash accounts, not margin accounts. This means that you avoid borrowing money to make purchases and instead use your own funds.
