The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has updated the “Green List” of countries for travel to Abu Dhabi.

All travelers arriving from updated “Green List” destinations will be exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi.

The newly announced list, which goes into effect on January 3, has 71 countries.

Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, Russia, Lebanon and the United Kingdom were removed from the previous list while Algeria, Morocco, Seychelles and Tunisia were added.

Travelers will be required to present a negative Covid-19 PCR test result valid for a maximum of 48 hours prior to departure, and undergo an additional PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Vaccinated passengers from updated “Green List” countries will undergo another PCR test on day 6 (the day of arrival in Abu Dhabi counts as day 1). Unvaccinated travelers from “green list” countries will be required to take PCR tests on days 6 and 9.

The countries, regions and territories appearing on the “Green List” will be regularly updated according to international developments. Listing is subject to strict criteria of travel health and safety protocols, ensuring and promoting the well-being of the UAE community.

Countries on the “Green List” have been given the green light to travel and refer to the origin of the inbound trip, not the passenger’s citizenship.
