(CNN) – June has arrived and peak travel season is just around the corner. But 2021, like 2020, is a little different.

Destinations that are opening up
The EU has a white list of countries from which non-essential travel in the bloc is approved: these are Israel, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Australia.
But as the bloc tries to create more universal requirements for tourism, each country retains sovereign powers over its borders, so entry requirements differ from country to country, as does the timing.
France just introduced a new color-coded “traffic light system” for its opening to international travelers on June 9.
Those on the “green list” – vaccinated travelers from European Union, Australia, South Korea, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand and Singapore – can enter without restriction. Unvaccinated travelers will need to take a Covid test.
Travelers vaccinated on the “orange list” – which includes we and the UK – will have to be tested, while the unvaccinated will only be allowed to enter for essential purposes.
Indoor dining will also be reintroduced on June 9 and the national curfew moved to 11 p.m. If you want to visit the Eiffel Tower, however, you will have to wait until it reopens on July 16.
Ireland, which has experienced one of the strictest lockdowns in Europe, will reopen in EU, UK and we July 19. Unvaccinated non-EU travelers will need to arrive with a negative test, then self-quarantine until they pass a second post-arrival test.
Irish hotels reopened this week and indoor hospitality will resume on July 5.
Croatia also welcomes vaccinated travelers, as well as those who present a negative PCR test or proof that they have recovered from Covid-19 in the last 180 days, and no less than 11 days before their arrival.
Last month, Cyprus reopened to vaccinated travelers from 65 countries, including the we and the UK.
Attractions, activities and accommodation
Another great lady new York the hotel has reopened. The Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park – it puts the Ritz in luxury – opened on June 2.
The Peninsula Hotels chain is open in the United States, with guests now welcomed to its super glamorous New York property as well as the luxury digs in the Chicago Peninsula and Beverly Hills Peninsula.

The new Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park features an innovative 3D attraction that follows guests’ hand gestures.
Disneyland and Californian adventure the parks will begin welcoming out-of-state guests on June 15. Days later, Disney’s first hotel with Marvel characters – Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel – will open on June 21.
Covid escape plan of the week
Part of the unspoiled Marquesas Islands archipelago, it was recently reopened to travelers – but you’ll need to take an eight-and-a-half-hour flight from San Francisco, followed by another four-hour flight, to get there.
Make sure you pack plenty of snacks.
