When it comes to the most popular tools among new graduates to find their first job, respondents in the UAE listed top online job sites (51%), social media sites (47%) and job applications direct to target companies (42%).

When asked what they expected to receive in their first job, nearly 8 in 10 new graduates said they expected to be offered a base salary (79%) and 50% expected to receive a base salary. In terms of skills required to excel in the workplace, respondents from the UAE cited computer skills (58%) as the most important, followed by communication (49%) and interpersonal / team skills (35% ).
